Does my cat need heartworm prevention?

Yes! We live in Alabama with a high population of mosquitoes year around…. we recommend that every pet be kept on a regular heartworm prevention plan.

Heartworm disease in cats is very different from heartworm disease in dogs. The cat is an atypical host for heartworms, and most worms in cats do not survive to the adult stage. This means heartworm disease often goes undiagnosed in cats.

Why did my pet gain weight after a spay or neuter procedure?

Most pets are kept on high energy/high fat puppy or kitten food for way too long… leading to excess weight!

Why should my pet have their teeth cleaned?

Just like humans, pets' teeth build up plaque and when they are not cleaned on a regular basis it can cause inflammation making your pet's mouth hurt.
